Fresh Memes, Finest Cuts
The war in Gaza, immigration, housing, Albo in a bikini and more. Observations from outside the Matrix.

What genocide? 3% of Gazans died in the war they started. In WW2, 9% of Germans died in the war they started. Neither was a genocide.

Mehreen Faruqi complains about the all the security being deployed for Israeli President Herzog's visit after marching in a protest next to a poster of some guy holding a Russian-made SVD Dragunov sniper rifle.

Criticising Israel is not anti-Semitic. Criticising ONLY Israel IS anti-Semitic.

Globalise the suicide bombings.

Many pro-Palestinian activists try to shift blame to ISIS for the Bondi massacre. The problem is, ISIS isn't fighting Jews. In fact, Israel has been accused of collaborating with ISIS. It's actually Hamas that is the enemy of ISIS. Of the approx 25 ISIS terror attacks in 2025, not one targeted Jews. Of all the previous ISIS inspired terror attacks in Australia, not one targeted Jews. Yes, the shooters had links to ISIS, but that's not the reason for the attack. They were also pro-Palestine and both were at the post October 7th 'celebrations' at the Opera House. Bondi was the intifada pro-Palestine activists have been calling for.

This wasn't a prayer session - it was a show of strength.

There was no such thing as Australia in 1788. NSW was a British colony in New Holland. January 26th marks the founding of NSW (previously known as 'Anniversary Day' in NSW) - not Australia. There's absolutely no reason to have Australia Day on January 26th.
I'd seen it mentioned many times that Australia Day was originally held in July. I always thought it strange that the exact date kept changing though, so a few years back, on a hunch, I looked up the day of the week for each date and discovered that they were all held on last Friday in July. We should do the same, but make it the last Friday in February to make it a guaranteed summer long-weekend.

Every day is invasion day.

Property investors are the scum of the Earth.

The Australia Institute and others continue to insist that the CGT discount and not immigration is responsible for the housing crisis. (I assume they're being paid to shill for someone with a vested interest). There's a number of problems with that though. They say prices started rising around the time that the CGT discount was introduced, but that's also around the time mass immigration started. Also, the change to the CGT was a one-off event that should have had a one-off effect on prices, but prices have continued to increase as immigration has increased. They also seem to have conveniently forgotten about the other incentive for property investors - negative gearing - which has been around since 1936. Why would the CGT discount cause prices to rise - but not negative gearing? But, the biggest flaw in their argument is that it doesn't explain the rise in rents. An incentive for property investors should create an increase in the supply of rental properties - which should decrease rents - not increase them.

If you don't listen to the people, it's not the cosplay-Nazis you should be worried about.

When people say economic growth is a good thing, what they mean is economic growth per capita is a good thing. Obviously increasing GDP by increasing the population doesn't increase GDP per capita. In fact, we've recently had the longest per capita recession on record. The purpose of immigration is to increase GDP per corporation.

Under this 'Labor' government, corporations are posting record profits, the All Ords has nearly doubled and workers are struggling to avoid homelessness. Australia is no longer a democracy - it's a corporatocracy.

All immigration is bad for ordinary Australians. Hold politicians to account - make them justify having any immigration at all. (I might have gotten a bit carried away with the 'Why have any immigration at all' memes.)

So, Grok won't let you generate images of public figures in bikinis any more. Luckily, I have my own generative AI model (A Flux Dev LoRA) of Albo on a local instance of Stable Diffusion - which means I can do whatever the fuck I like. So if you ever feel the need to see Albo in a bikini, I've got you covered. 👍
